Many Christians today in the Evangelical community are being misled
by a feminist oriented leadership. As children learn subordination from
their mother and leadership from their father, the lack of these role
models results in the corruption of society. Now children learn
rebelliousness from their mother as she usurps authority over men, and
as the role of father is no longer viewed as a role of legitimate
authority in the family so also the children don't learn leadership.
It is a sign of a corrupt society when young people are rebellious and when women are in positions of leadership over men. These two are similar. For they both condone a rebellious and non-submissive attitude. Concerning women's role Paul writes, "A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner." 1Tim 2:11-14 His instruction is not based upon a relative cultural norm, but on the absolute standard of God's Word which reveals through the creation and through the fall that God established gender specific role relationships whereby it is inappropriate for women to be in authority over men. But when the society is in rebellion such roles may get reversed. Indeed the rise of radical feminism has lead to rise in homosexuality - both being a reject of God's ordained gender roles, which is a rejection of God who created gender and its roles. Men become effeminate homosexuals and women become dominant man-hating macho types. This is increasingly reflected in American TV which is dominated by programs in which women are in authority and beat up men. Interesting also more recently is the preponderance of witchcraft in such shows as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and many others. "For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft." 1 Samuel 15:23, so it is not surprising to see such correlation.
"The look on their faces testifies against them; they parade their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! They have brought disaster upon themselves. Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds. Woe to the wicked! Disaster is upon them! They will be paid back for what their hands have done." Isaiah 3:9-11
