Healing Peter's Mother-in-law

Matt 8:14; Mark 1:30; Luke 4:38

Luke 4:38,39 (web)
He rose up from the synagogue, and entered into Simon’s house.
Simon’s mother-in-law was afflicted with a great fever,
and they begged him for her.
He stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her.
Immediately she rose up and served them.

What does this reveal about Jesus?

With a word Jesus can rebuke a fever and heal at once.

Application:

Here other people asked Jesus to heal this woman. God respects intercession - praying on the behalf of others. Therefore let us consider who around us needs such healing and pray on their behalf.

Having been healed we should get up and serve Jesus.

2Cor 5:15 "And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again."
