Discussion with Muslims

Muslim says:

Hi, I have read your article "ALLAH or JESUS" and I would like to offer my opinion. It is clearly stated in the Koran that no one should harm another person on the basis of faith. These Imams; and ;clerics; who issued that command are either extremely ignorant for misunderstanding Islam or corrupt!, funded by the enemies of Islam to mislead and deter people away from its divine, peaceful and noble message. Please do not judge Islam by what these so called ;Imams; say, judge it by what;s revealed in the Koran only. Moreover, it is important to have evidence before one believes in someone or something, especially as crucial as religion. There are many scientific miracles present in the Koran, there is even no need for blind faith. Some of these miracles are illustrated under this site:

http://www.harunyahya.com/presentation/miraclesofthequran/index.html I find these miracles irrefutable, well-proven by modern science, and living evidence that Islam is divine. More detailed miracles are explained here: http://islam.speed-light.info/relativity_quran.htm Note footnotes (6) and (8) where some serious mistakes were detected in the Bible. Please let me know what you think of all this evidence! Thank you.

BCBSR Response:

Well as you say, "it is important to have evidence before one believes in someone or something." But I find those alleged "miracles" of the Koran of yours to be unconvincing. For example take the verse.

"God created all the pairs: from what the earth produces and for themselves and from things unknown to them"

It seems to be just parroting the Bible where it says that God created them male and female and like verses. Yet you claim he's talking about quantum physics. So also with many of the "miracles" you claim. You have to read too much into what the koran says to claim it's a miracle. Yet it could be taken to mean many different things.

These are the kind of miracles you claim support the koran. Compare those to the miracles of the Bible. Jesus publically rose people from the dead. Even one guy who was dead and buried for 3 days. Even his apostles rose people from the dead. Jesus turned water into wine at a wedding feast. He took 5 loaves of bread the 2 fish miraculously multipled them feeding thousands in public on more than one occasion. And for more of Jesus' miracles see http://www.bcbsr.com/survey/jmrcls.html

Did Mohammed do such things? No. Nothing affirming him as a prophet. And Jesus' miracles were not only fantastic, but public as well. Preaching to thousands, Peter spoke the first Christian sermon and noted to the crowds during a public festival, "Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know." Can that be said of Mohammed? No.

Furthermore as the Koran contradicts the Bible, even contradicts the very words of Jesus, and as Mohammed's description of "Allah" is significantly different than the God of the Bible, Mohammed cannot be a prophet of God. Even if he had done miracles, he is a false prophet. For it is written, "If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and he gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, 'Let us go after other gods' -which you have not known-'and let us serve them,' you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for the LORD your God is testing you to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul." Deut 13:1-3

Allah is not Yahweh, and Mohammed is not a prophet of God.
